HOW:Glenlivet 18 year is a marriage of whiskies aged in both first and second-fill Bourbon casks, as well as Sherry butts, giving the whisky plenty of vanilla from the American oak, along with spice and richness from the Sherry.

WHAT:Originally founded in 1824, Glenlivet was purchased by Pernod-Ricard from Seagrams in 2001, as part of a deal for Chivas Brothers and all of the distilleries associated with the blended whisky. It sits in the Speyside region of Scotland and is currently the countrys largest single malt distillery. Despiteits growing size, the distillerys fourteen pairs of pot stills are continuously churning out some of the most consistent and tasty malt whisky in the world. That scale allows Glenlivet to offer more competitive pricing for such a high quality product. Bottled at 40% ABV.
