HOW:Glenlivet 14 uses the standard Highland style combination of Bourbon and Sherry cask-matured whiskies, then finishes that marriage in ex-Cognac barrels. The golden fruit flavors and soft vanilla notes are a direct result of that additional cask enhancement.

WHAT:Originally founded in 1824, Glenlivet was purchased by Pernod-Ricard from Seagrams in 2001, as part of a deal for Chivas Brothers and all of the distilleries associated with the blended whisky. It sits in the Speyside region of Scotland and is currently the countrys largest single malt distillery. Despiteits growing size, the distillerys fourteen pairs of pot stills are continuously churning out some of the most consistent and tasty malt whisky in the world. That scale allows Glenlivet to offer more competitive pricing for such a high quality product. Bottled at 40% ABV.
