Found North Batch 012 is a meticulously assembled 11-component blend of corn and rye whiskies ranging from 16 to 22 years old, with the backbone built around a 16 year corn component matured in ISC Cooper’s Reserve 24-Month Air-Seasoned, Heavy Toast, Char #2 New American Oak. Found North’s approach is as much about their exacting maturation program as it is about precision in the blending room reracking components into carefully selected barrel types to carve uncut gems into finished expressions.

The result is one of the most layered and expressive cask strength whiskies on the market. Bottled at 128.2 proof, Batch 012 opens with maple, toasted marshmallow, honey, and Tahitian vanilla bean on the nose, with flamb and roasted nut phenols adding depth. The palate cascades through molasses, brown sugar, thick honey, maple-covered cherries, dark chocolate mocha, and burnt caramel, finishing long with rock candy, cinnamon, brown sugar, and a smoldering warmth that lingers in the chest.
