Since 1983, the master distiller for Heaven Hill has chosen select barrels for this single barrel series. Each bottle is dated with the vintage date of when the bourbon was distilled along with the year it was bottled. Additionally, each bottle bares a serial number of the barrel from which it was drawn.

Tasting Notes:

Colour: Delicate amber gold.

Nose:Dark caramel, sweet oak, and charred wood.

Taste:Lush and spicy. Oak with honey, apple, and orange notes.

Finish:Long, graceful, and relaxed.

Its full of classic bourbon flavors, with lots of orange marmalade, oak, and that classic nutty Heaven Hill profile but with a low proof, remains and approachable whisky for all levels of drinker. It is missing some of the classic rye spice I was expecting and thus can drink soft and gentle more akin to a Makers Mark than other Heaven Hill expressions (like Elijah Craig).
