DUSS 1969 Anniversaire is a cognac produced from a single barrel in France where the brands other popular expressions like DUSS XO and VSOP are made. The difference, however, is the resulting cognac was aged in a single oak cask with a single eau de vie. This is a treat for spirit enthusiasts since most barrels are blended. Jay had a chance to sample the rare batch with Matre de Chai (Cellar Master) Michel Casavecchia a few years ago, making this release one to remember.

First released in 2019 to mark hip-hop mogul Jay-z’s 50th birthday, DUSS1969 Anniversaire Limited Edition is an ultra-limited Grande Champagne cognac. Bottled from a single barrel and matured in a cellar at Chteau de Cognac, additional 250 bottles have now been released with only 200 of which will be available for sale. A luxurious expression, it comes in a 12-cut crystal diamond decanter design and a high-end leather box, equipped with a booklet featuring the cognac’s description by its creator and Matre de Chai Michel Cassavechia.
