Saint Martin comes from a parcel in Corpeau, the village in the Cote de Beaune where Pierre Clair has family roots and where the domaine began in 2006. Clair Obscur is the small biodynamic estate of Pierre and Jennifer Clair; Pierre worked the vines at Domaine de Montille and d’Angerville before farming his own 3.5 hectares. The reds are Pinot Noir made naturally, with minimal additions. This is honest, transparent village-level red Burgundy at a fair price. The 2022 drinks beautifully now.
