A more classical, structured counterpoint to the opulent 2009: the 2015 Duhart-Milon is still primary, with plenty of cellaring upside. Owned by Domaines Barons de Rothschild (Lafite), the estate is a Pauillac Fourth Growth located on the Milon hillside west of the Carruades plateau. 2015 was a warm, even vintage on the Left Bank, and Duhart’s Cabernet-heavy blend shows precision and freshness rather than weight. Drink now with decanting or hold another five to ten years.
