The Steamship Collection port cask reserve is an Irish single malt that has been fully matured in ruby port pipes from the quintas of Portugals Douro Valley where for generations rich and delicious port wine has been made from the intensely flavoured grapes that grow in its slate soil.

Over many years new flavours are drawn from the casks. The result is a precisely judged marriage of our famously rich, complex and smooth single malt and subtle new notes of damson, black coffee and almonds.

TASTING NOTES:

Colour:Red gold hue

Nose: Bushmills honeyed maltiness leads, joined by warm port sweetness and woody vanilla

Taste: A complex and robust whiskey with almond tones followed by damson and dark chocolate, ending with honey and praline

Finish: A long, warm finish of leather, port and coffee
