Bruichladdich Octomore 12.3 is a single malt Scotch whisky from the Islay distillery of Bruichladdich. It is the third release in the Octomore series, and is made from 100% Scottish barley, which has been heavily peated to 167ppm. The whisky is aged for five years in first-fill American oak casks, and is bottled at a strength of 58.3% ABV. On the nose, the whisky has aromas of smoke, peat, and sweet malt. On the palate, there are notes of sweet malt, smoke, and peat, with a hint of spice. The finish is long and smoky, with a hint of sweetness.
