The Balcones Lineage is a limited-edition, single-barrel whiskey from Balcones Distilling in Waco, Texas. This whiskey is made from a blend of two different mash bills, one of which is a high-rye mash bill. It is aged in new American oak barrels for at least two years and bottled at a cask strength of 115.2 proof. The whiskey has a deep amber color and a nose of sweet caramel, toasted oak, and baking spices. On the palate, it is full-bodied and complex, with notes of toasted oak, dark chocolate, and dried fruit. The finish is long and smooth, with a hint of spice.
