Pelinkovac made from non-treated herbs from the Velebit mountain and wormwood Pelinkovac is one of Croatia’s most famous drinks. Amazingly the drink has a 150-year history.

The alcohol content is 31% by volume. It has a very bitter taste, resembling that of Jgermeister.

Sip the Pelinkovac before or after a meal.

There’s no wrong way to drink pelinkovac and it’s a popular drink in Eastern Europe. Try enjoying it as an aperitif before your meal or as a digestif to finish a nice dinner. If you dislike the herbal aftertaste, suck on the citrus wedge or sip a little water.
