Byron Kosuge’s Sonoma Coast Pinot is drawn from cool sites further west than his Carneros work, giving it a wilder, more sea-facing character. The fruit profile leans darker and more spiced, with the kind of structure that comes from genuinely cool-climate sites. As with all of Byron’s wines, oak is used as seasoning rather than the main act, and the wine retains a tensile freshness from start to finish. Drink now with patience, or hold for a few years and watch it expand.
