As a historic estate with roots dating back to 1106, Attems is owned by the renowned Frescobaldi family, ensuring a blend of traditional expertise and modern winemaking.
The 2024 Attems Pinot Grigio presents a soft straw yellow color with green highlights. The bouquet is complex and refined, offering aromas of crisp green pear, white peach, lime blossom, and hints of wet stone or vanilla. On the palate, it is fresh, vibrant, and light-medium bodied, showcasing balanced acidity and a subtle mineral edge.The grapes are sourced from 110 acres of south-facing vineyards near Gorizia, shielded by local winds. A key aspect of its quality is that a portion of the must undergoes low-temperature fermentation in wood barriques (roughly 10%), combined with stainless steel, followed by four months of aging on lees. This technique adds creamy complexity while maintaining the signature crispness of the Friuli style.Attems Pinot Grigio is a versatile food wine.
