This is the latest in our annual wine cask series, a limited edition Aberfeldy Single Malt available exclusively in the UK from Aberfeldy Distillery.

Initially spending 18 years in a combination of 1st fill Bourbon, rechar and refill casks, the whisky has undergone a finishing period of around 4-5 months in Cte Rtie wine casks, a powerful and elegant red wine from the Rhne Valley.

Malt Master, Stephanie MacLeod, chose the Cte Rtie casks as they bestow expressive and seductive qualities, silky textures and fruits with luscious, red berry characteristics.

Stephanie comments, This sumptuous dram is bursting with intense, rich fruity red berry notes of raspberry, lingonberry and red currents smothered in honey. Deeply evocative of an Eton Mess pudding. A zing of candied citrus peel brings balance before mellowing to a smooth vanilla and butterscotch sweetness.
